For the 2025-2026 leg of the 2nd national tour of Hadestown, I worked as the Assistant Electrician! And I did a lot of stuff! During the load-in at each venue, I worked with a portion of our local crew to set up all of the electrical aspects of the show, rejoining with our head electrician (Sophie Smyczek) and the rest of the local crew for larger tasks such as raising the truss electrics into the air. Then, during the show, I ran one spotlight while calling another spotlight, which was being ran by a local. The load-outs were pretty straightforward, with Sophie and I determining in the first few months of the tour which of us would tackle which tasks and with how many crew members in order to get the show out the quickest! I also got to be a part of the shop prep for the tour.
