I also worked as a lead electrician on this production! This show was staged in Otterbein's older, black box theatre, and the lighting system there can be a bit difficult to work with. In working with a more rigid and unpredictable system, I got to learn a lot about allocating dimmers and power, as well as how to best communicate with the designer about any problems that arose with the space. Also through working on this show, I learned a lot about troubleshooting efficiently and problem-solving in unfamiliar situations, while also gaining more experience in leading a crew in hanging and focusing a light plot.
