In the summer of 2025, I worked as a staff electrician at the Glimmerglass Festival! It was awesome to get a chance to both expand and utilize my knowledge I had previously gained at other summerstock theaters, getting to once again do things such as loading in/out the season, participating in changeovers between shows and running both the lighting console and spotlights during show runs! I also mapped out our incredibly janky storage space (pictured below). On top of all of that, I got to do some entirely new things, such as going to New Jersey to work in the lighting shop to prep all of the gear for the season and programming the lighting for the season's youth opera, The Odyssey. This involved updating a previously existing showfile with new presets, new show colors, adjusting the timing and placement of cues during tech... and of course adjusting the marking/fixing some dark moves for style points! It was also just great to work with some old friends, make some new ones, and to be a part of some truly incredible pieces of theater/opera!
