This was my first time working as a Lead Electrician, and I learned a whole lot throughout the process. I worked a lot with the scenery department in figuring out their needs and how I could best accommodate them in the hang and focus process. This led to a goal of hanging and cabling 5 full electrics the first night of hang. Very ambitious! The Saturday before hang started, I led in something I devised for this show: a pre-hang call, where we successfully finished everything that usually comes along and trips us up on the first night of hang. When hang came around, I was more than prepared enough, and we ended up hanging and cabling not only 5, but 6 full electrics! Once I finished leading hang and focus, I ran channel check at every call, as well as addressed any notes the designer had.
